A South Carolina High School student is facing 30 days in jail after allegedly throwing a paper airplane that struck a teacher in the eye. The seventeen year old student is now learning the hard way about the repercussions of a silly prank… he was charged with third-degree assault and battery. Free Thought Project reports: Earlier this month, Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested 17-year-old David Michael Elliott after his instructor, Edward McIver, told the school resource officer that he wanted to press charges for an assault with a paper airplane.

Ever since 2012 we have warned that one of the biggest threats arising from the US student loan bubble - which is no longer disputed by anyone except perhaps members of the outgoing administration - is not that it is soaring at an unprecedented pace, that's obvious for anyone with the latest loan total number over $1.4 trillion, rising at a pace of nearly $100 billion per year, but that the government - either on purpose or due to honest miscalculation - was not correctly accounting for the true extent of delinquencies and defaults.

Darwin’s evolution theory will be removed from Turkish biology textbooks in high schools starting next year. The Minister of National Education for the Islamic rooted Turkish government, Ismet Yılmaz, announced a new curriculum for the 2017-2018 school academic year. Yilmaz said that Darwin’s findings are “just a theory”: “Darwin’s work is based only on theory. In fact, this is the same as a Big Bang theory in physics.

Universities across the United States have vowed to tackle the problem of “masculinity” by offering students safe spaces that will “redefine manhood.”  Oregon State University have urged students, female and male alike, to attend an anti-masculinity conference in which professors will teach students how to rid “toxic masculinity” from their lives.

A national “teach-in” movement is asking professors to set aside class time between Martin Luther King, Jr. Day and the presidential inauguration to “protest” oppression and challenge “Trumpism.”
