Darwin’s evolution theory will be removed from Turkish biology textbooks in high schools starting next year. The Minister of National Education for the Islamic rooted Turkish government, Ismet Yılmaz, announced a new curriculum for the 2017-2018 school academic year. Yilmaz said that Darwin’s findings are “just a theory”: “Darwin’s work is based only on theory. In fact, this is the same as a Big Bang theory in physics.
