Fake Student Jailed For Conning Parents Out Of £250k

A court in Truro, Cornwall has sentenced a fake student to jail for defrauding her parents out of £250,000 for a pretend degree course at an elite UK university. Nicola Boardman spent the money her parents gave for her education on drugs, weddings and holidays while maintaining a pretense of studying for exams. Devon and Cornwall Police The Week reports: Nicola Boardman, aged 34, told her parents, Frank and Marilyn, that she needed the money for research projects, rent and travel while studying towards a PhD in social sciences at Oxford University.

He was 57 years old, but really, he was ageless. His Purple Rain album was the soundtrack of my senior year in high school. I saw the Alphabet City tour when he came through DC, and remember it as one of the best concerts of my life. Only 57 years old. Prince fans will understand this reference:

World’s First Japanese Robot Enrolls At High School

Japan have unveiled the world’s first high school robot named Pepper. The robot is disturbingly considered legally enrolled at a Japanese high school, and marks the first time a humanoid robot will study alongside human students.  In a bizarre interview, Pepper told newspaper TASS, “I never thought that I would be accepted into a human school,” and promised to “try my best”. RT.com reports: Pepper comes to the school with an impressive array of language skills, speaking both Japanese and English.
