Some 'entertainers' among the mainstream media have proclaimed the recent dead-cat-bounce in The Baltic Dry Freight Index as representative of some renaissance in China and thus the world's trade.. and thus why one should "buy buy buy" stocks. However, three quick points of note suggest this is nothing but noise as the index flounders around record lows.

 

First, at 555, The Baltic Dry has just managed to rebound to its previous all-time historical lows from 1986... impressive eh?

Thousands of activists arrived in Washington DC, after a ten day, 140-mile (225km) march from Philadelphia’s Liberty Bell, in protest against corruption in politics. Starting today, April 11th, thousands of Americans will sit-in on the US Capitol in Washington, DC in what will be the largest act of civil disobedience this century. According to Russia Today the protest appears to have broken the record for the number of people arrested at the US Capitol.

Video footage captures a daredevil skier using death-defying stunts and a GoPro action camera to win extreme sport competition. Professional skier Léo Taillefer, 22, used breathtaking skills that allowed him to be named winner of GoPro’s February Line of the Winter competition. Contestants had to shoot the best action video while navigating the slopes of Val d’lsére in France. Daily Mail reports: The fearless daredevil recorded his moves to win the contest, which challenges skiers to capture the best raw GoPro footage as they make their way down the slopes.
