U.S. pesticide companies including Monsanto and Du Pont are exposed in a new documentary exporting pesticides banned in the United States to the developing world, sending the dangerous message that American lives are more valuable that those in less affluent countries. Circle of Poison also reveals that these banned pesticides make their way back into the American food chain due to the FDA’s own lax produce inspections, causing immeasurable damage to populations and ecosystems.

A new peer reviewed study looking at the effects on GMOs has concluded that GM food causes “profound damage” to the body.  The study, published in the journal Experimental and Toxicologic Pathology and entitled, “Effect of genetically modified corn on the jejunal mucosa of adult male albino rat.,” shows serious damage in the intestines of rats after they were fed GM corn for 90 days. Naturalblaze.com reports: The specific type of corn fed to the rats was MON810: Ajeeb YG. This is a GM version of Ajeeb, which is a local species of corn grown in Egypt.

Beijing's pollution problem is getting worse by the day.

On Wednesday, the Chinese capital issued its highest "red fog alert" for only the second day in history, keeping highways closed in and around the city which is already under a smog alert after weeks of choking winter pollution. China's weather bureau warned of visibility of less than 50 meters in some areas, leading many airports to cancel flights.
