New research suggests that dinosaurs and their subsequent apocalypse was caused by a sudden “global cooling” which occurred when Earth passed through a “giant molecular cloud”. GeoBeats news reports: An asteroid is commonly believed to be responsible for the mass extinction that wiped out the dinosaurs around 65 million years ago, but a new study points out another possible cause. A team of researchers argues that the Earth’s prolonged collision with a dense, dark cloud provides a better explanation for the catastrophic event.

A fascinating creature known as the Siberian unicorn was thought by scientists to have died out around 350,000 years ago. But the discovery of an almost perfectly preserved skull which was found in Kazakhstan has revealed that the extinct species of mammal – which looked more like a rhino than a horse -was still roaming earth as recently as 29,000 years ago. Science Alert reports: Before we talk about the latest discovery, yes, there was a very real ‘unicorn’ that roamed Earth tens of thousands of years ago, but it was nothing like the one found in your favourite children’s book.

An article in the journal Pediatrics is calling on health professionals to stop saying that breastfeeding is natural. The authors argue that calling breastfeeding ‘natural’, which it is, gives the impression that natural parenting practices are healthier. A public campaign has also been started to end the positive use of the word ‘natural’, alleging that it is linked to “problematic” practices like home birthing, homeschooling and the rejection of GMO food and even vaccinations.

While we are sure this will not deter Japanese officialdom from declaring that QQE and NIRP is working and that the deflation-mindset is being beaten, the fact is that when February's 6.2% collapse in Japanese industrial production is compared to the devastatingly poor plunge aftwer March 2011's quake, tsusnami, and nuclear 'event', something has gone disastrously wrong in Japan.

Across every sub-sector, it was a total disaster...
