Kellogg’s And Mars Announce They Will Label GMOs

Kellogg’s and Mars have announced that they will start to label their products containing GMOs with the words “Produced with Genetic Engineering”, following the blocking of the Dark Act in the U.S. Senate last week. They join General Mills and Campbells. General Mills’ announced that it would label GMOs in its own product portfolio last week. Campbell Soup was the first to commit to GMO labeling back in January A spokesman for Kellogg said they did not plan to reformulate products to avoid GMOs.

Tihange Nuclear Power Plant In Belgium Evacuated

Belgium’s Tihange nuclear power plant has been evacuated the public broadcaster VTM reported without giving further details. The power plant is located  in Huy in the Belgian province of Liege about an hour away from the capital. Tihange could not immediately be reached for comment. “The police have evacuated the Tihange nuclear station,” VTM said, citing police sources.

Belgium Evacuates Nuclear Power Plant As Panic Spreads After Attacks

Energy utility Electrabel is evacuating Belgium's two nuclear power plants in the wake of Tuesday's terrorist attacks in Brussels.

Doel, made up of four reactors, and Tihange, with three are closed and all vehicles coming and going are subject to checks. "Employees who are not needed to run the two power plants are now leaving the sites," Politico EU reports, adding that the "military arrived at the Tihange plant on Friday."

Authorities Puzzled As Four More Bald Eagles Found Dead

Just a few weeks after 13 bald eagles  were found dead in nearby Maryland, four more dying birds were unable to be saved in rural Delaware. Authorities remain puzzled as to what is killing the birds, which are the national symbol of the US. However there was some good news as around the same time, two eaglets hatched in DC. RT reports: Workers with the Tri-State Bird Rescue, a private nonprofit based in the area, found one dead eagle on the road near Dagsboro in Delaware’s Sussex County on Sunday. Three more birds were found in a nearby field and could not be revived.
