FDA Approves Futuristic New Cancer Therapy, To Cost $475,000, Sending Biotechs Surging

The FDA on Wednesday opened a new era in cancer treatment, when it approved a landmark, futuristic new gene therapy-based approach to treat childhood leukemia, one which has produced unprecedented results in patients with the deadly cancer. Even the FDA called the approval "historic."

"We're entering a new frontier in medical innovation with the ability to reprogram a patient's own cells to attack a deadly cancer," said FDA Commissioner Scott Gottlieb.

In two days, the FDA and a federal judge are going to put a Kentucky farmer and grandfather, Samuel Girod, in jail for up to 68 YEARS with up to $3M in fines for charges related to selling a homemade herbal salve.

Amish farmer and grandfather Sam Girod has been thrown in jail and is being prosecuted by the FDA for making herbal remedies in his home. What is his crime, in their eyes? Claiming that his herbal remedies, made to recipes which have been handed down by Amish for generations, are “healing.” Mr. Girod of Owingsville, Kentucky lives on a farm with his wife, 12 children and 25 grandchildren.
