The FBI have announced that there is absolutely nothing of interest on the iPhone belonging to one of the San Bernardino terrorists, two weeks after unlocking the device.  The agency had hoped to find information which would have led them to foreign terrorists left on the iPhone 5C belonging to Syed Farook.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) court battle with Apple over the security system in place on iPhones appears to be over. But some experts in the communications security community are expressing concern because of the Bureau’s unwillingness to reveal what exactly occurred to end the standoff.

The FBI used an Israeli cyber security firm to unlock San Bernardino gunman Syed Rizwan Farook’s iPhone. Israel’s cyber security industry with its military connections is a flourishing business and has an eye out for expansion. The recent battle between Apple and the FBI to unlock San Bernardino shooter’s mobile phone has aroused the interest of many involved in Israel’s security industry.
