"Black Sky Hazards": Feds To Wargame "Widespread Power Outages" And "Cascading Infrastructure Failures"

As the world teeters on the brink of a nuclear confrontation with North Korea, FEMA and the U.S. Department of Energy are preparing to wargame so-called "Black Sky Hazards" that could result in a "subcontinent scale, long duration power outage, with cascading failure of all our other increasingly interdependent infrastructures."  Here's how EarthEx2017 described the exercise:

FEMA Arrive In California For ‘Imminent Oroville Dam Collapse’

FEMA have arrived at Travis Air Force Base in Southern California in readiness for the Oroville Dam to completely collapse.  According to the Federal Emergency Management Agency, the storms currently raging through Southern California are very likely to lead to the Dam failing. If that happens, and there’s a strong chance it will, the death toll could reach up to several thousand – making it the worst disaster in American history.

Cascadia Rising: FEMA Major Earthquake ‘Drill’ Scheduled For June 7

FEMA are to conduct a massive military drill named ‘Cascadia Rising 2016’, in the event of an earthquake along the Cascadia Subduction Zone (CSZ) on June 7-10.  According to the Federal Emergency Management Agency, “A 9.0 magnitude earthquake along the Cascadia Subduction Zone (CSZ) and the resulting tsunami is the most complex disaster scenario that emergency management and public safety officials in the Pacific Northwest could face.
