The Republican House spent Thursday afternoon celebrating the passage of a Healthcare bill that nobody has scored, let alone read, and already the Senate has poured cold water over the first and so far only achievement of the Trump administration.

Having promised "the biggest tax cut in history," and seemingly desperate for a win (given his folding on the funding of the wall), one wonders why President Trump has delegated the announcement of his Tax Reform plan to Treasury Secretaty Steven Mnuchin and Chief Economic Advisor Gary Cohn. Reduction, repatriation, simplification, and de-itemization appear to be the cornerstones.

Connecticut could become the first US state to allow police to use drones equipped with deadly weapons if a bill opposed by civil libertarians becomes law. The bill, which was approved overwhelmingly by the state legislature's judiciary committee on Wednesday, would ban so-called weaponized drones in the state but exempts police and other agencies involved in law enforcement, the AP reported. The legislation was introduced as a complete ban on weaponized drones but just before the committee vote it was amended to exclude police from the restriction.
After the Republican ObamaCare replacement bill failed to generate enough Republican support to pass a House vote Friday, President Trump announced his planned path forward: "Let ObamaCare explode."
