Trump is winning in Indiana, and the half-hearted Cruz-Kasich pact to oppose him has gone over very poorly in the Hoosier State:
But 58 percent of likely Republican primary voters in Indiana say they disapprove of Cruz and Kasich teaming up to beat Trump in the Hoosier State, while 34 percent say they approve of the move.
Ahead of the Indiana primary on Tuesday, Donald Trump holds a 15 point lead in the polls according to the Wall Street Journal, and it is starting to become inevitable (at least for those not named Cruz and Kasich) that The Donald will be the Republican's choice to run against Hillary in the fall.
“After the Acela primary, there is an aura of inevitability surrounding the Trump and Clinton candidacies,” said Lee M. Miringoff, director of the Marist College Institute for Public Opinion.
In the bottom of the 9th, with two out and the bases loaded, Ted Cruz and John Kasich are attempting one final maneuver to stop Donald Trump from getting the GOP nomination.
As the WSJ reports, top officials from both the John Kasich and Ted Cruz campaigns have announced that the candidates have formed an alliance, and will work together during the remaining primaries in order to make sure Donald Trump doesn't have enough delegates to win the nomination outright before the convention in July.
