Footage Shows Life Inside ISIS Capital Raqqa

Anti-ISIS Forces Close In On Raqqa

Syrian Democratic Forces move in closer to the gates of Raqqa, the de-facto ISIS capital in Syria. The armed groups, made up mostly of Kurds from the YPG and YPJ fighting units, along with Arabs and Christians, are now just 20 miles from Raqqa Times of India reports: The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) have been celebrating a string of victories as they reclaim villages from ISIS control. In the hopes of retaking communities from Isis those suspected of being Isis militants are arrested and men are often taken aside for questioning.

Top ISIS Commander Shishani ‘Clinically Dead’

A Syrian monitoring group says ISIS group commander Omar al-Shishani better known as Omar the Chechen has been ‘clinically dead’ for several days after a US air strike in northern Syria. Israel National News reports: “Shishani is not able to breathe on his own and is using machines. He has been clinically dead for several days,” said Rami Abdel Rahman, head of the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights. Abdel Rahman said the notorious red-bearded commander, known as Omar the Chechen, was in a hospital in the northern province of Raqa, ISIS’s bastion in Syria.

Republican Presidential Candidates Want Ground War Against ISIS

During their latest debate, the four remaining Republican presidential candidates revealed the one thing they all had in common..all four of them would put more boots on the ground to fight ISIS. During their 12th presidential debate on Thursday evening GOP candidates Donald Trump, Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio and John Kasich each declared just how draconian they would be in dealing with ISIS in the Middle East Syria. The Republican contenders also scoffed at military efforts the Obama administration and vowed to send waves of US troops “to wipe ISIS out,” as Kasich put it.
