The White House, which is running a blatantly unconstitutional regime, is now attempting to vet potential successors to the Oval Office, and yet again take out opposition leaders.
First, Obama said that Assad lost all legitimacy, and should step down, and partnered with al Qaeda and ISIS to back up his opinions.
“For every seven Shiites killed, we want seven Sunnis [killed] in their place.”
That rather alarming declaration comes from outspoken Iraqi lawmaker Hanan Al-Fatlawi. Not known for holding her tongue, the Shia MP inflamed sectarian tensions with her eye for an eye tirade in the summer of 2014, prompting Diana Moukalled, the Web Editor at the Lebanon-based Future Television to pen the following sharp rebuke:
Back in May, the US was elated to report that commandos had killed Islamic State “gas minister” Abu Sayyaf in a raid in Eastern Syria.
That effort has been cited as evidence of how effective targeted SpecOps raids can be when it comes to taking out senior ISIS commanders. In November, the US claimed to have killed the infamous Jihadi John in a drone strike near Raqqa.
Why people shouldn't root for the U.S. even against reactionaries like ISIS, and why it's better for humanity if U.S. imperialist wars do not "succeed" or "win", but rather lose.
Given that an ISIS attack in Paris just helped fuel the sweeping election victory of an actually fascist party in France, it's a bit mystifying how someone can be so sanguine about the likelihood of a Trump victory in the U.S. In fact, with a couple of even low-level ISIS attacks successfully carried out on American soil, it's not at all hard to imagine.
