IDF General Slammed For Comparing Nazi Germany With Israel

A high ranking Israeli general has come under fire following remarks where he suggested a comparison between Nazi Germany and present day Israel. His comments made during during a Holocaust Remembrance speech have fueled heated discussion among politicians and on social media. However, the deputy head of the Israeli military has been forced to backtrack after comparing some attitudes in present-day Israel to “nauseating trends” in 1930s Germany.

Gaza Declared Military Zone, Heavy Shelling Reported

The Israel Air Force have turned Gaza into a warzone again on Wednesday evening, officially declaring the area a “military zone” after the army fired tank shells at the Palestinian occupied territory.  The shelling comes in response to an alleged mortar fire near the border which Israel says Hamas had fired towards Israeli forces in an attempt to deter them from searching for tunnels. haaretz.com reports: According to reports in Rafah, in the southern Gaza Strip, five airstrikes targeted Hamas training camps in the vicinity of the airport and in the center of the enclave.

Justice Minister Says Criticising Israel Is Now ‘Anti-Semitic’

The Israeli justice minister has said that anybody who criticises Israel from now on is to be considered anti-Semitic.  Ayelet Shaked told The Washington Post that European leaders who dare to speak out against Israel will be considered anti-Semites – tarnishing their reputation in the world of politics forever. Today is World Press Freedom Day, a rare item in Israel.

Americans are forever told that “Israel is the only democracy in the Middle East.” Actually, most
of Israel consists of occupied Palestine. The Israelis have succeeded in committing genocide against a country.

The only democracies in the Middle East are Syria, Iran, and perhaps Lebanon, and these are
the countries under attack by Israel and Washington.
