The recent anti-Semitism which-hunt in the Labour Party will have far reaching consequences for the party and politics in the UK. Besides putting in place pressure to stifle criticism of Israel, it also subjects the Palestinians to suffer quietly, for even words would not be permitted to direct conversation and action towards their plight. In the meantime men of honour will be humiliated, freedom curtailed and anti-Semitism used as a baton to bash the Palestinians and their supporters, both figuratively and literally, at home and abroad, for the ever present needs of Israel.

The deputy chief of Lebanon’s Hezbollah movement has said that Israel is training Saudi military forces under the framework of clandestine relations between the two countries. The senior official, Sheikh Naim Qassem told Lebanese media that Dozens of Saudi military officers are being trained after secret contacts developed into military cooperation. He said that the secret relations between Riyadh and Jerusalem led to the Saudi decision, as part of the Arab League and the Gulf Cooperation Council, to classify Hezbollah as a terrorist organization.

The U.S. is planning on giving Israel the largest military assistance package in its history, according to a White House spokesperson.  An official from the Obama administration told Reuters, “We are prepared to sign an MOU (memorandum of understanding) with Israel that would constitute the largest single pledge of military assistance to any country in US history“. Ynetnews.com reports: The statement came hours after 83 US senators sent a letter to President Obama, urging him to reach a military assistance deal with Israel.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has accused Russia of firing at two Israeli military aircraft flying over Syria, and has urged Russian President Vladimir Putin to address it’s coordination efforts with Israel in Syria.  The Kremlin have responded by calling the Israeli regime delusional, saying “In this case, Israeli press reports are far from reality.” Yahoo News reports: But Netanyahu, in remarks published by Israeli reporters whom he briefed by phone on his talks on Thursday with Russian President Vladimir Putin, said “there have been problems” regarding Israeli military freedo

A top Israeli military leader issued a warning to the Lebanese militant group Hezbollah on Wednesday, saying any future war between the two enemies will unleash “devastating” damage on Lebanon. Yahoo News reports: Maj. Gen. Yair Golan, Israel’s deputy chief of staff, told foreign journalists that Hezbollah has developed capabilities that present “unprecedented” threats to Israel. Israel estimates the group has over 100,000 rockets and missiles in its arsenal. Golan said any future war will be “much harsher” than anything experienced in the past 20 years.
