"Wall Street Vs. Main Street" In Trumplandia

"Wall Street Vs. Main Street" In Trumplandia

Since Donald Trump was elected President of The United States, on a platform of 'draining the swamp' and focusing on the needs of 'Main Street', it is perhaps interesting that Wall-Street-darling Goldman Sachs is the best-performing stock (in The Dow) and Main-Street-mainstay Wal-Mart is the worst-performing.

The Dow is up 1800 points since the election. Goldman Sachs accounts for 22% (or over 400) of those points... and Wal-Mart has removed 22 points from The Dow's performance.

The Honeymoon Is Over: Goldman Slams Trump's Economic Plan, No Longer Expects A Border Tax

Less than a week after Bridgewater's Ray Dalio flip-flopped in his support of Donald Trump, going from vocally praising the billionaire's vision for the US, to becoming "increasingly concerned about the emerging policies of the Trump administration" because "there is significant risk that his populist policies could hurt the world economy (and worse)," it was Goldman's turn to dramatically sour on Trump's economic policies, and as the bank's chief economist, who previously just like Dalio was ecstatic about the economic growth prospects under President Trump, warned in a Friday night note t

Meet The Awan Brothers - The (Not-Russian) IT Staff Who Allegedly Hacked Congress' Computer Systems

In an ironic twist, it appears it may not have been 'The Russians' that hacked America's political system last year. As The Daily Caller reports, three brothers (Abid, Imran, and Jamal Awan) who managed office IT for members of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence and other lawmakers were abruptly relieved of their duties on suspicion that they accessed congressional computer networks without permission.

Iran Vows ‘Roaring Missiles’ On Enemy Heads After Trump Tweet

Iran defies new US sanctions and vows to defend itself with “Roaring Missiles” against all “enemies”. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has totally dismissed President Trump’s “playing with fire” warning. Just a day after US imposed restrictions on 25 Iranian individuals and entities in response to Iran’s recent ballistic missile test, Iran fired off more missiles during a military drill on Saturday. “If we see smallest misstep from the enemies, our roaring missiles will fall on their heads,” said an IRGC commander.

Trump's Complications in Draining the Swamp

How Big Government Has Outlasted Presidents for a Century … Trump’s recent flurry of executive orders mandates that for every new regulation issued by any agency, two must be eliminated. This comes on top of a federal hiring freeze and vows to reduce administrative bloat and otherwise force the government bureaucracy to conform to the kinds of expectations that govern private business.  While Trump sees himself as an outsider president bringing new ideas to Washington, these particular ideas would be painfully familiar to his predecessors.  –Bloomberg
