Russia’s UN envoy has announced that the Syrian government’s military operations to liberate the city of Aleppo have come to an end. Fighting in eastern Aleppo has stopped and the Syrian government has regained control over the territory after the withdrawal of militants from the city was agreed, Russia’s UN envoy Vitaly Churkin told UN Security Council meeting. “Over the last hour we have received information that the military activities in east Aleppo have stopped, it has stopped” “So, there is no issue of any ceasefire or special humanitarian operations.

President Obama has been forced to admit that Russia did not hack the U.S. elections as is being widely reported in the mainstream media.  During an interview with the Daily Show’s Trevor Noah, Barack Obama denounced the conspiracy theory that Russians tampered with the American voting process. “We were frankly more concerned in the run up to the election to the possibilities of vote tampering, which we did not see evidence of,” he admitted.

Donald Trump has selected former Texas governor Rick Perry as his nominee for secretary of energy according to multiple transition sources. Rick Perry is a board member for Energy Transfer Partners the oil company who have stated they will continue to pushing on with construction of the controversial North Dakota Access Pipeline. Press TV reports: The two men made the decision during their meeting on Monday evening at Trump Tower in New York City, sources told Fox News on Tuesday.

Hillary Clinton revelled in and encouraged the media to spread “fake news” at the height of the election campaign when she thought victory was “inevitable”. The stunning and unexpected loss caused the former Secretary of State to do an about-face and blame the loss on ‘fake news’ and ‘Russian hackers’. According to Hillary, “The epidemic of malicious fake news and false propaganda that flooded social media over the past year — it’s now clear the so-called fake news can have real-world consequences,” she insisted in a speech at a ceremony for Senator Harry Reid.
