It's Official: Trump Has Enough Delegates To Win The Republican Nomination

The presumptive Republican presidential candidates is now the official Republican presidential candidate.

 

Moments ago, AP calculated that Donald Trump on Thursday reached the number of delegates needed to clinch the Republican nomination for president, completing an unlikely rise that has upended the political landscape and sets the stage for a bitter fall campaign.

On Monday a series of coordinated and organized bombings across the Syrian coast left more than 100 people dead. There has been little or  no mention of the Syrian attacks other than ISIS being the group responsible and there was no mass expression of condolences or solidarity with Syria as was seen during the Paris or Belgian terror attacks. The attacks took place in Tartus and Jobleh at a time when the  areas were expected to be crowded with civilians. Russian bases are located in both the cities which are loyal to the Syrian government.

While the G7 summit in Japan continued to press well-known themes, with the general consensus being that world leaders would continue pushing against competitive FX devaluations (a jab pointed once again at Japan as suggested by this weekend's meeting of finance ministers and central bankers), Merkel adding that there is hardly any leeway left for monetary policy and Abe saving some face by adding that the G7 agreed the global economy is facing big risks, the biggest surprise out of this latest statement was Obama's comments on Donald Trump.

WASHINGTON (AP) — The Obama administration set a record for the number of times its federal employees told disappointed citizens, journalists and others that despite searching they couldn’t find a single page requested under the Freedom of Information Act, according to a new Associated Press analysis of government data.

PM David Cameron Buys Used Car To Prove “He’s One Of Us”

British Prime Minister David Cameron, or Dodgy Dave as he’s often referred to in the Commons, swung by a used car centre over the weekend to buy a second hand car for his wife.  A local car dealer had a surprising visit from the PM, who apparently wanted to buy a £1,500 Nissan Micra for his wife Samantha. Thus apparently proving the Mr Cameron is a commoner just like everyone else. Independent.co.uk reports: “I just thought it was one of my friends having a wind up, obviously, as you do,” Mr Harris told the Independent.
