Panama Papers Leak: Saudi King Funded Netanyahu’s Rise To Power

Documents from the Panama Papers leak reveal that Saudi king Salman bin Abdulaziz financed Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s rise to power.  Isaac Herzog, member of the Knesset and Chairman of the Israeli Labor party, revealed that the Saudi king has been overtly influential in the election campaign that saw Netanyahu get elected. “In March 2015, King Salman has deposited eighty million dollars to support Netanyahu’s campaign via a Syrian-Spanish person named Mohamed Eyad Kayali.

Democratic Superdelegates Are Officially Abolished

An amendment has been made to completely eliminate the influence of superdelegates at the Maine Democratic Party’s statewide convention this week.  Rep. Diane Russell, who introduced the amendment, said that once it passed the crowd erupted into chants of “Bernie! Bernie!,” in celebration. USuncut.com reports: “I never expected this kind of response from the amendment,” Russell said in a phone interview.

Canada To Consider Russia’s Offer To Help Put Out Alberta Wildfire

Russia has offered to send fire-fighting aircraft to assist Canada in dealing with the Alberta wildfire. Communications Adviser for Public Safety Canada, spokesperson Mylene Croteau, told domestic Russian-language news agency RIA Novosti on Friday, that Ottawa will review Moscow’s offer in due course. Sputnik reports: “We can confirm that we have received a letter from the Russian Federation offering their assistance,” Croteau said.
