Senator John McCain’s re-election fundraiser has been arrested on suspicion of drug possession. Sheriff deputies found an operating meth lab at her home in north-central Phoenix during a search on Tuesday. Emily Pitha, Maricopa County Sheriff’s office Sputnik reports: On Tuesday, 34-year-old Emily Pitha was arrested for narcotics distribution and manufacturing when Maricopa County sheriff’s deputies found an active meth lab and illicit drugs during a search of her north-central Phoenix home.

Monsanto are aggressively tackling the government in Argentina over their refusal to enforce royalty payments owed by farmers to the GMO agricultural giant.  Monsanto insist that farmers must pay royalties on the use of genetically modified soybean seeds. Activistpost.com reports: While the Argentine government has agreed to collect monies owed by small farmers in royalties on genetically modified soybean seeds, the government requested additional time to do so.

Russia have announced plans to launch an attack on ISIS at their de facto capital Raqqa alongside the Syrian Army. Russia’s envoy to the UN office in Geneva, Aleksey Borodavkin, announced the plans, saying that it is imperative the fight against ISIS/ISIL doesn’t lose its momentum. “This is what the Syrian Army is doing with support from the Russian Air Force. As a result of these actions, Palmyra has been recaptured and now they are planning to launch an operation towards Deir ez-Zor and Raqqa.
