About two months ago, I wrote an article here on Zero Hedge entitled, "Trump Is Slow-Playing His Cards In This Game Of Deep State Poker."

It was met with some understandable skepticism, but in light of recent political developments, it may be worth your second perusal.

My conjecture then was that President Trump was setting up his enemies by utilizing a rope-a-dope strategy; feigning weakness while his administration worked covertly to rid Washington of decades of political corruption.

Last night it was Tom Perez and the 'new' Democratic National Committee that disavowed all knowledge of how the infamous 'Trump Dossier' was funded by the Clinton Campaign. Tonight it is none other than Debbie Wasserman Schultz and the 'old' DNC that has abandoned Hillary.

As The Hill reports, current and past leaders of the Democratic National Committee (DNC) say they had no knowledge that the national party was helping to fund a dossier compiled by a British spy that contained scandalous accusations about President Trump.

In the last months of President Obama's 'reign', Reuters reports that, thanks to a presidential executive order, bypassing congressional and court review, a Department of Defense manual on procedures governing its intelligence activities permits the collection of information about Americans for counterintelligence purposes even "when no specific connection to foreign terrorist(s) has been established."
