In perhaps the most stunning section of former FBI Director Comey's testimony today, he detailed his interaction with then Attorney General Loretta Lynch about his specific language about the Clinton Email "investigation."

Not everyone is satisfied with today's news that Italy's early elections will likely be pushed back. Italy's anti-establishment 5-Star Movement called on Thursday for immediate national elections after the previously reported deal on electoral reform - which would have resulted in the next Italian elections taking place in September, at the same time as Germany's - among the major parties unraveled.

In his opening statement this morning, fired FBI Director James Comey skipped the pleasantries and got straight to the point when he accused the Trump administration of defaming him and telling "lies, plain and simple."

"And although the law required no reason at all to fire and FBI Director, the administration then chose to defame me, and more importantly the FBI, by saying that the organization was in disarray, that it was poorly run."

 

"Those were lies, plain and simple."

While Trump may have flip-flopped on Qatar, no longer lashing out at the Gulf nation and instead offering to mediate a resolution of the crisis, the president's attitude toward "the world's top sponsor of terrorism" Saudi Arabia Iran remains, as evidenced by the purposefully undiplomatic statement issued on Wednesday in response to the deadly terrorist attack which took place earlier in the day in Tehran.
