Amid the chaos surrounding Trump Tower and The New York Times, the so-called "failing" publication's readers are complaining at a rate on par with what was seen after 9/11 with an angry message: "I expect more from The Times."
As DailyCaller.com's Katie Frates reports, Times readers are writing and calling the Times and commenting on articles in droves to express, according to Spayd, “a searing level of dissatisfaction” with the 165-year-old paper’s coverage of the 2016 presidential election.
Trump won the 2016 presidential election, in large part, due to the support of the working class population in the Midwest that has suffered for decades as manufacturing wages have stagnated and jobs have been transplanted to lower cost regions like Mexico and China. On election night, Trump vowed to change the fate of the American middle class by pledging that "the forgotten men and women of our country will be forgotten no longer."
Pope Francis has given all priests worldwide the power to forgive women for the ‘grave sin’ of having an abortion, saying that God’s mercy cannot be denied to those with a repentant heart. The head of the Catholic Church extended priests’ special permission to absolve the sin of abortion, making permanent a policy announced last year for the Holy Year of Mercy. USA Today reports: “I want to insist as firmly as I can that abortion is a grave sin because it puts an end to an innocent life,” the pope said, according to Vatican Radio.

There are two words that kept coming up over and over again over the last 20+ months during the US Presidential circus: “fair share”.
Hardly a day went by without hearing that certain taxpayers “need to pay more of their fair share.”
It sounds really great, and given the voter statistics, this idea resonated with tens of millions of people. After all, who could possibly be against fairness?
