China Urges US Not To Deploy THAAD Missile System In Korea

Beijing has urged Washington not to deploy its THAAD missile system to the Korean Peninsula, saying it could also be used to target China. Wang Yi , the Chinese foreign minister said on Friday that his country has urged the United States to refrain from the deployment to South Korea. He said: “The facts are clear. The deployment of the THAAD system by the United States … goes far beyond the defense need of the Korean Peninsula and the coverage would mean it will reach deep into the Asian continent….

North Korea Planning Underground Nuclear Test

South Korea have claimed that North Korea are preparing to conduct another underground nuclear test, in a bid to escalate tensions with the UN and international community.  Seoul’s intelligence agency warned that Pyongyang is preparing its fifth nuclear test, just one day after it fired a long-range ballistic missile. Enews.pk reports: In its previous nuclear test, on 6 January, North Korea detonated what it says was a hydrogen bomb, but international experts have rejected that suggestion.

South Korean Woman Saves Dogs From Cooking Pots

Some South Koreans consider dogs as food items and include them in their diets. While others rescue them from cruelty and ignorance and form a bond with them. NBC News reports: For 26 years, Jung Myoung Sook has saved hundreds of dogs from being cooked in South Korea, where they are considered a delicacy. Dogs are kept in crowded cages and are then sometimes strung up and given a good beating by their humans to tenderize their meat before slaughter, while the pooches innocently look death and their supposed masters in the face till the last moment.

North Korea Attacks South With Toilet Paper Balloons

North Korea has responded to South Korea’s loud propaganda music incursions across the Demilitarized Zone by sending balloons laden with propaganda messages and waste to the south. The balloons were loaded with used toilet paper, tissues, cigarette butts and propaganda leaflets. The Telegraph reports: The South Korean authorities were so concerned at the contents of balloons wafting over the heavily fortified Demilitarised Zone that they initially feared a biochemical attack, the JoongAng Daily reported.

South Korea Opens Fire As Suspected North Korean Drone Crosses Border

The situation between the two Korea’s is escalating into war as South Korea fired machine gun rounds towards the North, after a North Korean drone briefly crossed their border. The North Korean drone was flying dozens of meters (yards) south of the border and returned to the northern side following the warning shots. South Korea is laying siege to the North after bombarding it constantly across the border with loud propaganda and annoying music.
