The U.S. government have ordered an immediate evacuation of families of U.S. diplomats and military personnel in Turkey, following intelligence that suggests ISIS might attack the country. The State Department and Pentagon both said that American staffers at the U.S. consulate in Adana, the Incirlik air base, and two other locations must all evacuate immediately.

Moments ago the DOD announced that the Secretary of Defense, in coordination with the Secretary of State, has authorized the ordered departure of all DoD dependents not assigned to Chief of Mission authority from Adana (to include Incirlik Air Base), Ismir, and Mugla, Turkey. This decision allows for the deliberate, safe return of family members from these areas due to continued security concerns in the region.
Israel have urged all citizens travelling in Turkey to evacuate “as soon as possible” following intel of an impending ISIS attack. An upgraded travel advisory warning predicts a follow-up attack to the March 19 suicide bombing in Istanbul. A statement by the Israeli counter-terrorism bureau said there is a “high concrete threat” that ISIS will attack Turkish tourist attractions.

When Vladimir Putin told the world that ISIS gets a significant portion of its funding by selling oil to Turkey, he had just finished meeting with Jordan’s King Abdullah.
The King is no stranger to confronting the jihadists. Last year, Abdullah threatened to fly combat missions against Islamic State himself following the release of a horrific video that depicted a Jordanian pilot being burned alive in a cage.
