President Vladimir Putin has said the deployment of the Admiral Kuznetsov aircraft carrier group to Syria was his own idea. The Russian president says he does not intend to interfere in Syria’s internal affairs, but wants to deal with jihadists and international terrorists who pose a threat to Russia. RT.com reports: Russia’s aircraft carrier group from the Northern Fleet inflicted significant damage to extremist groups in Syria, Putin said at a meeting with the officers who distinguished themselves during the operation in the Mediterranean near Syria’s shores.

With each passing day it's becoming increasingly difficult to ignore the apparent breakdown in communications between the Trump White House and his various agency chiefs.  Earlier this morning we noted one of the more egregious communication mishaps since Trump took the White House in which Kellyanne Conway told MSNBC that General Michael Flynn enjoyed the "full confidence" of the President just hours before he was fired (see "Kellyanne Conway Blasts CNN Reports That She's Been "Benched" From TV Appearances").

Yesterday we noted that, after nearly a year of continuous protests, eviction day had finally come for the last remaining members of the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe protesting the Dakota Access Pipeline in North Dakota. 

That said, and quite unsurprisingly we might add, a number of Standing Rock protesters apparently decided that the North Dakota Governor's eviction notice, which went in effect yesterday at 2pm, was merely a suggestion and overstayed their welcome on federal lands.  As such, riot police and Humvees have now been called in to facilitate their immediate departure.

The crackdown on George Soros incited protests has begun, with over two hundred rioters indicted on felony charges after smashing up shops and injuring police in downtown Washington during violent protests during and after President Donald Trump’s inauguration. According to reports, 214 of the most violent rioters have been indicted so far, with hundreds more expected to be charged as law enforcement moves to punish the ringleaders, including celebrities who incited violence and chief organizer and domestic terrorist Bill Ayers – who just so happens to be a good friend of Barack Obama.
