Sarah Leah Whitson of Human Rights Watch was talking about the war on Yemen last week, and said this:

• Among young European Muslims, support for suicide bombings range from 22% in Germany to 29% in Spain, 35% in Britain and 42% in France, according to a Pew poll. In the UK, one in five Muslims have sympathy for the Caliphate. Today more British Muslims join ISIS than the British army. In the Netherlands, a survey shows that the 80% of Dutch Turks see "nothing wrong" in ISIS.

In an exclusive interview with various Russian news agencies, Syrian President Bashar al-Assad announced that Syria is on the verge of completely eradicating all terrorists from the country, including ISIS, without assistance or interference from the West.  Speaking to RIA Novosti and Sputnik, Assad criticised supposed US-led coalitions aimed at ‘fighting terrorism’ as failing to play a role in the liberation of Palmyra.

The recent execution of Palestinian Abdel Fattah Al Sharif as he lay wounded on the ground by an Israeli soldier has exposed Israel’s culture of impunity. The cruelty and injustice meted to the Palestinian by the Israeli state is polluting universal logic and empathy which has collectively evolved into the modern civilized world throughout the centuries. It is more dangerous not to see a danger than to imagine one. Dissident Voice reports: Last week, as the soldier was brought before a military court for investigation, hundreds of supporters protested outside.

Before John Kerry was America’s top diplomat, he was the Democratic nominee for president. But of course Kerry’s 2004 campaign against incumbent George W. Bush didn’t turn out all too well. Bush received over 50 percent of the popular vote, after successfully painting Kerry as a “flip-flopper.” But if Kerry was the conventional politician changing positions for political expediency, Republican frontrunner Donald Trump is the anti-politician who runs around like a chicken with his head cut off.
