The CIA’s plot to oust president Assad of Syria has failed. The Syrian Arab Army is liberating parts of Syria from foreign and domestic insurgents. The CIA is blaming president Obama for failure to fully implement the”Assad must go” U.S. policy that led to the reduction of terrorists. (And, according to Hillary Clinton’s e-mails, a destroyed Syria was in the “interests” of Israel.) But things didn’t go quite according to plan. Because Obama stopped short of direct military intervention, much of Washington’s strategy in Syria was carried out covertly by the CIA.
