Chinese Astronauts Return After Longest Ever Manned Space Mission

Two Chinese astronauts have completed the country’s longest manned space mission and successfully returned home after spending 30 days in space on board the Tiangong-2 space laboratory orbiting the earth. Taikonauts Jung Haipeng and Chen Dong returned to earth on board the Shenzhou 11 spacecraft, landing safely in China’s northern region of Inner Mongolia on Friday. RT.com reports: The Shenzhou-11’s reentry module carried the two taikonauts – Jing Haipeng, the mission commander, and Chen Dong – to safety in Inner Mongolia, touching down at around 1:59pm Beijing time on Friday, according to Xinhua state news agency.
