Iran: The Saudi Collapse Is Coming

A senior Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards in Iran has said that Saudi Arabia is on the brink of collapse following the execution of prominent Shiite cleric Nimr Baqir al-Nimr.  General Hossein Salami warned on Friday that “The Al Saud will collapse in the near future if it keeps on its sectarian policies in the region,” adding that the “Saudi rulers will be buried under the avalanche that they have created”. Farsnews.com reports: General Salami’s remarks came after the Saudi government executed prominent Shiite cleric Nimr Baqir al-Nimr on Saturday and sparked angry protests worldwide that led to severance of ties with Iran. In relevant remarks on Monday, Iranian Intelligence Minister Seyed Mahmoud Alavi in a message condemned Sheikh Nimr’s execution, and reiterated that the Saudi regime will be toppled soon. “By adopting terroristic and inhuman policies, the Al Saud regime will not achieve enhanced security; on the contrary it will face imminent downfall,” Alavi said. The Iranian intelligence minister condemned Sheikh Nimr’s execution, and extended his condolences to the Muslim Ulemmas (scholars), freedom-seeking nations and the axis of resistance.
