NASA have confirmed that the Earth’s weakened magnetic field is a precursor to the reversal of Earth’s magnetic poles, and that we could soon see a pole shift. A pole shift would cause compasses to point to the south instead of the north, and may have catastrophic consequences for humanity. Experts believe that pole reversals in the past have triggered mass extinction events, including the extinction of Neanderthals. Scientific researchers say there is evidence that the Earth’s magnetic field has weakened significantly in the past 160 years and that neutralization of the magnetic field and flipping of magnetic poles could occur in less than 1,000 years – or as early as the next 100 years.
