Every time I do a post on self-driving vehicles, readers respond that it cannot happen and won’t happen for a decade, if ever.
It’s time for a reality check.
A quick check of my calendar shows we are not quite halfway through 2017. And a quick check of headline news shows Waymo’s Self-Driving Minivans Now Offer Rides to Real People in Arizona.
Yesterday we noted that GM launched an aggressive incentive program in the month of February to clear out some of its pickup truck inventory. In fact, incentives on the company's Silverado were up 56% YoY to $6,996, while discounts on the Sierra were up 82% to $5,315 (see "GM Pickup Incentives Surge Over 80% As Auto Bubble Continues To Show Signs Of An Imminent Bust").

It’s been such a hoot reading comments from people telling me that self-driving vehicles are decades away if ever.
The nay-sayers have been proven laughably wrong given Google’s New Self-Driving Minivans Will Hit the Road by the End of January 2017.
