After the Berlin Wall fell in November 1989 and the death of the Soviet Union was confirmed two years later when Boris Yeltsin courageously stood down the red army tanks in front of Moscow's White House, a dark era in human history came to an end.
Confirming rumors that had swirled over the past 10 days, on Sunday night Meredith Corp., publisher of Better Homes & Gardens, Martha Stewart Living and Family Circle announced it has agreed to acquire all of Time Inc's outstanding shares for $18.50/share or $1.85BN; including the assumption of Time's debt, the deal is valued at a total of $2.8 billion. Meredith has secured $3.55BN in debt financing from RBC Capital Markets, Credit Suisse, Barclays and Citigroup Global Markets, according to the FT.

Sometimes, in the process of covering so many things and in the attempt to provide as much information and commentary as possible, we simply are not able to provide all that we wish to do so to the public.
However, that does not mean other stories and commentary are not important. In fact, many things coming out of alternatives media today are vitally important for those coming off the government-controlled media.

We have previously noted the massive market cap inflation and then stupendous collapse of the Delirious Dozen of 2000.
The latter included Microsoft, Cisco, Dell, Intel, GE, Yahoo, AIG and Juniper Networks - plus four others which didn't survive (Lucent, WorldCom, Global Crossing and Nortel).

Salvator Mundi, said to be by Leonardo da Vinci, is the world’s most expensive painting.
Last Wednesday, at auction, each square inch was valued at nearly $1 million – including the bummed-up, restored, and damaged parts.
The painting may not be da Vinci’s work. Or perhaps, since it has been so heavily doctored up, little remains of his work. And whoever’s work it was must have been having a bad day.
