Update: Boeing has issued a statement following President-Elect Trump's tweet.

“We look forward to working with the US Air Force on subsequent phases of the program allowing us to deliver the best plane for the president at the best value for the American taxpayer,”  Boeing spokesman Todd Blecher says in e-mail.

 

Businessman Is Raising £1 Million To Recreate 9/11 Attacks

An American-born businessman wants to raise £1m to stage a recreation of the 9/11 attacks on the World Trade Centre in New York. Paul Salo, who now lives in Thailand, has started a fundraising page to raise funds for the reconstruction which he hopes will “once and for all” determine if conspiracy theories about the terror attack are true or false. The Independent reports: In a YouTube video, Mr Salo said he wants to purchase a Boeing 747 with a working black box, fill it with jet fuel and crash it into a derelict tower at 500mph.

World’s Biggest Plane Does A Crosswind Landing In Australia

A giant Antonov AN-225 Mriya airlift cargo plane fought crosswinds to land safely in Perth, Western Australia, where some 20,000 people had gathered to see the world’s largest aircraft.  RT reports: The thousands of excited onlookers couldn’t help but cheer in amazement as the Soviet-designed cargo plane fought crosswinds while preparing to touch down on Sunday morning. The Ukrainian Antonov An-225, also the heaviest plane in the world, measures over 275 ft (84 meters) from nose to tail and 290 ft (88 meters) from wing tip to wing tip.
