The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has likened alternative media outlets to terrorist groups such as ISIS. One month after the San Bernardino attack that killed 14 civilians, the DHS security Secretary Jeh Johnson told advisors that the “alt right” posed just as much of a threat to the country as Islamic extremists. Dailycaller.com reports: Johnson made the comments during the Homeland Security Advisory Council’s (HSAC) January meeting.

Now, according to WSB-TV in Atlanta, we learn that Georgia's election systems were actually the target of hacking by DHS on 10 separate occasions.
This morning Trump has confirmed his intention to nominate retired Marine General John Kelly to head the Department of Homeland Security, a pick that had been rumored for days. Georgia’s Secretary of State Brian Kemp claims the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) tried to hack into his office’s firewall, pretending to be Russian hackers. Brian Kemp says the DHS tried to convince the state of Georgia they were at risk of Russian hacking – an idea the state dismissed as nonsense. But there was a hacking attempt, according to the Secretary of State – however it wasn’t Russia, it was Washington D.C. The attempt took place just after the presidential election. The office of the Georgia Secretary of State is responsible for overseeing the state’s elections.
