Even Bernie Sanders has acknowledged that the federal government couldn't afford to provide health care to all of its citizens.

In a video clip from 1987 that was discovered by the Washington Free Beacon, then-Burlington Mayor Bernie Sanders (I., Vt.) admitted that “giving everybody a Medicaid card” would “bankrupt the nation.”

“You want to guarantee that all people have access to health care as you do in Canada," Sanders said.

But unlike the waitress, the doctor relies on a system of lies and manipulations.

Some doctors don’t even know what they are caught up in. They perform the tests. They read the journals. The tests say you have a disease. The journals say what treatments work.

According to a new report, one third of U.S. adults are obese along with one in six children.

The research was conducted by the Trust for America's Health and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and, as Statista's Nial McCarthy explains, it found that the adult obesity rate exceeded 35 percent in five states, 30 percent in 25 states and 25 percent in 46 states.
