While the "war against ISIS" has been quietly pulled from the front pages in recent months (even as both Russia and the US continue to pile forces into Syria), having served its political purpose, it continues on the ground. As evidence we have the following newly-released videos show Russian Mil Mi-28NE Night Hunter helicopters hunting Islamic State vehicles in Syria.

A Russian passport found among documents recovered from ISIS jihadis in Syria has led a reporter from Russia Today (RT) to a city in central Russia. Journalist Maria Finoshina uncovers the story of a man who gave away a good life and took his family to their apparent deaths in Syria’s jihadi badlands. Kurdish YPG fighters recently liberated the city of Hasakah in north eastern Syria from Islamic Stste/ISIS.

In the UK, one in five Muslims have sympathy for the Caliphate. Today more British Muslims join ISIS than the British army. In the Netherlands, a survey shows that the 80% of Dutch Turks see "nothing wrong" in ISIS.

A new ISIS photograph purporting to show a young dead boy lying down in a pool of blood has been exposed as yet another fake in a growing collection of fake propaganda by the terrorist organisation.  It turns out the young boy in the photo was actually lying in a pool of chickens blood. Thesun.co.uk reports: The gory picture claimed to show a lad murdered by Iraqi soldiers. But the snap has been exposed as a LIE. Journalist Haidar Sumeri posted the original picture on Twitter, alongside one ISIS never wanted you to see.

A 20-year-old Mississippi State University sophomore is expected to plead guilty on a terrorism charge. Jaelyn Young’s plea comes after she and her fiancé, Muhammad Dakhlalla, were arrested last year. They had plans to join ISIS. According to BET: The couple were originally arrested after undercover federal officials got word of their planned trip to Syria for their honeymoon. Both were jailed in Oxford. Dakhlalla has already pleaded guilty to the charges and is awaiting his sentence.
