Ron Paul: US Democracy Is Dead

Former presidential candidate Ron Paul has said that democracy in the U.S. is effectively dead, saying that having to choose between Trump and Clinton amounts to no real choice. Speaking on MCNBC’s “Morning Joe” show, Ron Paul said “This country, we do not really have democracy. I mean, even if we were really, really super happy with the Libertarian candidate, you think they’d get into the debates? No, the debates are run by the Republicans and Democrats“.

Scotland Permanently Bans Fracking

Scotland have taken a bold stand against fracking and permanently banned the controversial practise in the country.  The Scottish parliament voted in favor of outlawing fracking permanently following a temporary ban implemented in January 2015. Activistpost.com reports: Members of the ruling Scottish National Party abstained from the vote, which passed 32 to 29, though SNP Energy Minister Paul Wheelhouse claimed the government remains “deeply sceptical” of fracking and none would be allowed to proceed unless distinct evidence proved the practice ‘causes no harm,’ the Guardian reported.

Bilderberg 2016: German Military To Provide Security

Footage has been leaked showing the German military in uniform attending a meeting with organisers of this years Bilderberg 2016. According to InfoWars, the video footage shows German officers meeting with Hotel Taschenbergpalais Kempinski staff, discussing with them security plans for the Bilderberg meeting. This years Bilderberg meeting is going to focus on the upcoming Europe in-out referendum happening in the UK, with leaders expected to discuss ways they can stop Britain for voting for a Brexit outcome.

Russia Builds Up Forces Along Border With Ukraine

While NATO stages military exercises on its eastern flank, Russia has grown concerned and built up its forces along Ukraine’s border. There is growing concern over a military confrontation between the two former Cold War rivals, Russia and the NATO alliance. The Kremlin sees its western flank along former Soviet Union Republics as the new front-line and is reportedly deploying troops and building an army base in a border town near Ukraine.

Study Finds Free Speech Is Under Massive Attack

A new report by the Economist newspaper has found that online freedom of speech is under massive attack, as government’s attempt to impose strict censorship rules worldwide.   Their report mirrors what other watchdogs are saying: government censorship, threats of violence and social justice warriors all pose a threat to the future of the free internet. Economist.com reports: Free speech is under attack in three ways. First, repression by governments has increased. Several countries have reimposed cold-war controls or introduced new ones.
