With the latest polls showing Bernie Sanders narrowing the gap on Hillary Clinton’s lead to just two points, a former adviser to Bill Clinton predicts a win for the Vermont senator in the California primary next week could end the race for Hillary. He also predicts that Vice President Joe Biden could throw his hat in the ring by entering the presidential race and challenging Sanders to the White House.

In a world in which everything has devolved to threats of Mutual Assured Destruction of the "if something does not happen then the world will end" variety observed most notably with the scaremongering campaign over Brexit in which David Cameron recently went as far as suggesting that war could break out should the UK leave the EU (as well as currency collapse, recession, and some of the worst parts of the bible), it only makes sense to take whatever works and run with it.
There was much surprise, as well as accusations of outright voter fraud, when on Monday the Austrian presidential race - which was set to be won by the candidate of the right wing Austria Freedom Party much to the humiliation of Brussels - Norbert Hofer, was handed to his competitor, Green party candidate Alexander Van der Bellen, with postal votes tipping the final result in the favor of the former despite Hofer winning the outright vote by a solid margin. In retrospect, there may have been reason for the skepticism.
The presumptive Republican presidential candidates is now the official Republican presidential candidate.
Moments ago, AP calculated that Donald Trump on Thursday reached the number of delegates needed to clinch the Republican nomination for president, completing an unlikely rise that has upended the political landscape and sets the stage for a bitter fall campaign.
