Desperation Moves: Romney Plots To Block Trump At Republican Convention

Desperation Moves: Romney Plots To Block Trump At Republican Convention

Only in America's so-called democracy could a proven "loser" so vehemently and shamelessly condemn a current "winner" with the goal of overturning 'we, the people's' prospective leader in favor of himself. In the latest (and most desperate) action from the neocon establishment, CNN reports Romney has instructed his closest advisers to explore the possibility of stopping Donald Trump at the Republican National Convention (by revising rules for instance).

Donald Trump Responds To Romney's 'Roundhouse' - Live Feed

Following the unprecedented Romney roundhouse kick to Trump's character, The Donald is about to rebuff "the loser." As John McCain backs Romney's rant, it appears yesterday's Koch Borthers, Icahn, Murdoch mega-donor call for a truce has been broken as Trump prepares to return fire against "failed candidate Romney" and his establishment cronies.

"Donald Trump Is A Phony, A Fraud": Mitt Romney Lashes Out In Desperation Establishment Attack

While the GOP establishment already hit peak panic following Trump's Super Tuesday rout, it is about to "rise above" said peak based on an advance transcript of the speech that Mitt Romney will deliver later on Thursday to the Hinckley Institute of Politics at the University of Utah according, in which he will declare that "Donald Trump is a phony, a fraud. His promises are as worthless as a degree from Trump University. He's playing the American public for suckers: He gets a free ride to the White House and all we get is a lousy hat."

GOP RIP

Matthew Continetti had a nice reflection this morning on the wacked-out mindset of the GOP leadership:

How the Establishment Can Hold On

The Super Tuesday results are in. Here’s the scorecard (delegate counts are preliminary):

  • Donald Trump: seven states; 234 delegates
  • Ted Cruz: three states; 209 delegates
  • Marco Rubio: one state; 100 delegates
  • John Kasich: no states; 19 delegates

Trump won the night, but based on the delegate allocations, maybe not as convincingly as expected. What do these results mean for the state of the race? Who can claim victory from Super Tuesday, who has momentum, and who survives?
