Researchers in Sweden have started a clinical trial to assess whether a prostate cancer drug could help prevent or lower the risk of paedophiles committing sexual abuse. The £1,000 a year drug called degarelix was found to have the side effect of reducing sexual arousal by stopping the production of testosterone The drugs trial at Stockholm’s Karolinska Institutet  will involve 60 patients have sought help for paedophile fantasies, but have not acted on them.

Since the start of the year, a tiny village in central India has seen an unprecedented eighty suicides While locals have blamed blame it on demon spirits, some researchers say that pesticides could be behind widespread depression. In a bizarre combination of financial distress, superstition and clinical depression, Khargone, has reported 381suicides in the past year. The continuing ‘depression’ forced the village to declare a state of emergency in early April.  It was reported that the youngest resident who tried to attempt suicide was just 11 years old.

Pro-refugee protestors are rallying at the Brenner Pass on the Austrian-Italian border.

London has voted for a new mayor in the form of Sadiq Khan. He is the first London mayor with Muslim and Asian heritage and he won 57% of over 1.3 million votes. Some people are curious to know if the non-white, non-Christian new mayor of London is also non-homophobic. The Gay UK reports: Sadiq Khan is the MP for Tooting in London.
