Sweden is concerned about migrants.
In the wake of the sexual assaults that rocked Cologne, Germany and several other cities across Europe on New Year’s Eve, Nyheter Idag accused prominent daily Dagens Nyheter of conspiring to cover up a wave of similar attacks allegedly perpetrated by Arab refugees at a youth festival in central Stockholm’s Kungsträdgården last August.
A U.K.-based campaign group Global Justice Now have just released a report which says the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation is funding strategies that promote multinational corporate interests at the expense of social and economic justice. The activists for social-justice accuse the Microsoft billionaire of distorting global-development priorities through the immense wealth and influence of his Seattle-based foundation.
As you might have heard, the European Union is on the brink of collapse.
The bloc has been inundated with asylum seekers from the war-torn Mid-East and the influx of refugees now threatens to shatter the Schengen dream. Some European officials (most notably Angela Merkel) are fighting to preserve Europe’s open borders but others have reached their breaking point with what they see as a hostile foreign invasion.
“Welcome to Europe. Now gimmie that watch.”
That’s the greeting asylum seekers will get when they enter Denmark from now on thanks to a new law that will allow police to search refugees on arrival and confiscate anything worth more than 10,000 kroner.
The idea, apparently, is to help offset the cost of taking the migrants in by robbing them.
