Saudi Arabia’s Presence In Syria Will Plunge Middle East Into Chaos

A German newspaper has warned that if Saudi Arabia sends its ground troops into Syria then the entire Middle East region will be plunged into chaos.  “The Saudi Kingdom is ready to participate in any ground operation of the coalition in Syria,” Saudi military Spokesman Ahmed Assiri told news channel Al Arabiya. Airstrikes alone are not be enough to destroy ISIS, Assiri said.

NATO & Saudi Arabia To Discuss Troop Deployment To Syria

NATO and Saudi Arabia are set to discuss Riyadh’s proposal for troop deployment to Syria under the pretext of fighting ISIS, according to reports. Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates have all expressed their readiness to send ground troops to Syria as part of the US led coalition. Press TV reports: Saudi media quoted NATO sources as saying on Monday that Saudi Defense Minister and Deputy Crown Prince Mohammad Bin Salman is scheduled to attend the Western military alliance’s meetings in Brussels this week to hold talks on Riyadh’s plan for ground intervention into Syria.

Russia Prepares Syrian Army To Defend Against Turkish Attack

Russia are anticipating a Turkish ground invasion in Syria and have said that they are training the Syrian army to be militarily capable of repelling any Turkish ground incursions.  The Kremlin say that any invasion by Turkish forces will be met by military action and not diplomacy.
