Just after sunrise on April 19, 1775, a large contingent of British military troops arrived to the town of Lexington, Massachusetts.
They were under orders to search for and confiscate all weapons and munitions from the colonials– something the British army had done countless times before.
In many ways it was a routine operation. And yet, that morning, roughly 80 local militiamen stood blocking their path.
The leader of the Iraqi popular mobilization forces in Anbar province says that ISIS militants are forcing their fighters to use narcotics and hallucination pills during cleansing battles in Fallujah.
An Indonesian fisherman recovered an inflatable doll that had washed up on the beach and mistakenly thought that he had been blessed by “a fallen angel.” Villagers from a remote island in Indonesia thought that the beautiful naked doll with its fair complexion and big green eyes was a blessing from above, an angel fallen from heaven. Until authorities find out that it was probably just a discarded sex toy from a passing ship and broke the bad news to the locals.

“The Only Democracy In The Middle East”
Today is World Press Freedom Day, a rare item in Israel.
Americans are forever told that “Israel is the only democracy in the Middle East.” Actually, most
of Israel consists of occupied Palestine. The Israelis have succeeded in committing genocide against a country.
The only democracies in the Middle East are Syria, Iran, and perhaps Lebanon, and these are
the countries under attack by Israel and Washington.
