Former Dallas Federal Reserve Bank President Richard Fisher recently gave a speech identifying the Federal Reserve’s easy money/low interest rate policies as a source of the public anger that propelled Donald Trump into the White House. Mr. Fisher is certainly correct that the Fed’s policies have “skewered” the middle class. However, the problem is not specific Fed policies, but the very system of fiat currency managed by a secretive central bank.

Former CNN White House correspondent, Frank Sesno, has taken it upon himself to define the guidelines by which the news media should cover Donald Trump.  The rules were published by The Hill, where Sesno is a contributor, and urge reporters to be "relentless" yet "fair" and describes Trump is the "adversary."

Scientists have warned that the Arctic is undergoing unusually rapid changes at the moment that will result in worldwide flooding as a result of global warming. According to an Arctic Council report, unless the world stops burning fossil fuels, the turbulent changing occuring in the Arctic could result in catastrophic effects for the wildlife that live there and the rest of humanity on the planet. Rising sea levels are already eroding away at America’s coastlines, and threaten to cause entire islands to sink underwater.

What troubles my sleep is what is not in the textbooks.

Starting tomorrow Uber drivers from around the country will join the union-backed "Fight For $15" campaign that plans to hold protests in two-dozen cities including San Francisco, Miami and Boston.  The organization's twitter feed describes the protest as a "national day of disruption" which seems slightly less than a "constructive" approach to the very serious issue of the federal minimum wage.  Per Reuters:
