The End of the Road for Rubio

The polling in Florida continues to look grim for Rubio, whose numbers in the RCP average have been dropping over the last week. Trump almost has a 19-point lead in the average, and according to multiple polls he now also has a substantial lead in the early vote. Barring a massive polling failure on par with the Democratic race in Michigan, Trump will win Florida, and he seems likely to win by double digits. That’s not really a surprise, since Trump has consistently led polling in Floria for more than half a year.

"Super Saturday" Surprise: Bernie Bests Hillary, Ted Ties Trump

It was a primary "Super Saturday" of surprises for the presidential candidates after Bernie Sanders took two of three contested states in the Democratic race, winning the caucuses of Nebraska and Kansas leaving Hillary the only Democratic primary of the night in Louisiana, while in the Republican race Ted Cruz unexpectedly tied with Donald Trump, winning the smaller half of the night's four nominating contests, in Kansas - where Trump had been leading in the polls - and Maine, while the Donald won the bigger states of Louisiana and Kentucky, holding onto his lead in the presidential race ev

Bernie Sanders Wins Vermont Primary, Looking To Expand Base

As early predicted results come in on Super Tuesday, Democratic presidential candidate Senator Bernie Sanders looks to have notched up the Vermont Democratic primary in his home state. Trump, Sanders Set To Dominate As New Hampshire Votes In Nation's First Primary

Last week, the “teflon Don” took a hit in Iowa.

Despite the fact that the last Des Moines Register poll before the caucus showed the brazen billionaire pulling ahead of Ted Cruz in the state for the first time since August, Donald Trump lost, in what many deemed a surprising outcome.

Initially, Trump congratulated Cruz. Later, he called the senator a cheater and accused him of “stealing” the state by bilking the hapless Ben Carson out of votes.

Divided America

Submitted by Patrick Buchanan via Buchanan.org,

Donald Trump won more votes in the Iowa caucuses than any Republican candidate in history.

Impressive, except Ted Cruz set the new all-time record.

And Marco Rubio exceeded all expectations by taking 23 percent.

Cruz won Tea Party types, Evangelicals, and the hard right.

Trump won the populists and nationalists who want the borders secure, no amnesty, and no more trade deals that enable rival powers like China to disembowel American industries.
