So-called political pundits are an ubiquitous sight on mainstream news, particularly during the run-up to a presidential campaign — but their ties to the candidates they analyze remain obfuscated, downplayed, or altogether left out by host networks.
West Island residents in Montreal, Canada were intrigued and slightly creeped out last week by mysterious trumpeting sounds that seemed to come from the sky. There has been no explanation as to what could have been causing the strange noise, which you can listen to here The Montreal Gazette reports: Early theories suggested people in Dollard des Ormeaux were hearing echoes of a Pointe-à-Callières Port Symphony. But those events happen at 2 p.m., and the sky trumpets were reported during the evening. Would sound have carried that far anyway?
