Former US Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld, during an interview on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, refused to accept US responsibility for creating the so called Islamic State. Rumsfeld told Stephen Colbert that the instability in the Middle East is due to a Shia-Sunni conflict and not the interference of the Bush administration in Iraq. Stephen Colbert accuses the former Defense Secretary of deliberately not revealing “unknown knowns” that could have stopped the advent of war in Iraq and the subsequent rise of Daesh.

Back in October, after it was revealed that Oprah Winfrey had bought a 10% stake (subsequently boosted to 15%) in fad food diet company Weight Watchers, and after the media diva swallowed the margin accounts of thousands of shorts (75% of WTW's float was short at the time), we said that a simple way to profit from Oprah Winfrey gaining weight was to go short WTW stock.

Considering that the stock was then trading around $15, and had since dropped back to a far more realistic level of $11, one could imagine that Oprah did in fact gain a little weight.

A leaked report has revealed that Jimmy Savile raped and sexually abused children as young as nine and was caught on camera carrying out his deprived acts at least once while working for the BBC. The draft report produced during official review of the paedophile DJ’s time at BBC criticises the corporation for having ‘untouchable stars’ managers who were ‘above the law’. The report also warns that it is possible that another predatory child abuser could be lurking undiscovered in the BBC even today.
