Independence Day

While I'm a professional, one of my hobbies is songwriting (see this). I wrote this song for Independence Day a couple of years ago.

The king’s menHave betrayed usTricked us out ofOur homes

No one elseGonna save usWe must stand upOn our own

DividedWe’ve been conqueredFor too longWe’ve played their game

UnitedWe’d be invincibleSo rise upAnd shake off our chains

We’ve been fooledBy the bankerThe sheriffAnd the priest+

We’ve been ruledBy the con menThe scoundrelsAnd the thieves

UPDATE to Brad

UPDATE to Brad Pitt pedophile ring story:

Neon Nettle appears to be no more reliable than the New York Times, Washington Post, CNN, MSNBC and the rest. Such a pedophile ring might exist, but I can’t find a reference to Brad Pitt asserting such a ring.

Did Martin Shkreli's FBI Arrest Save Him From A "Hit" Ordered By The Wu-Tang Clan?

Just when you thought the bizarre antics of famed 'Pharma Bro', Martin Shkreli, couldn't get any more outrageous, along comes a new book detailing how he was almost "whacked" by members of the Wu-Tang Clan after a twisted scheme, which somehow also involved Bill Murray, went horribly wrong.  According to the book, "Once Upon a Time in Shaolin: The Untold Story," it all started when Shkreli bought Wu-Tang Clan's infamous record, Once Upon a Time in Shaolin, for $2million.

Watergate Reporter Hints At Coup, Warns "Non-Functioning" Trump Presidency Is "Malignant"

While Bob Woodward is more stoic in his public discussion of the predicament this nation finds itself in (lambasting the 'fake news' media rather than directing his ire at the body politik), his partner in un-crime, legendary Watergate reporter Carl Bernstein, called the Trump administration a "malignant presidency" on Saturday, and suggested that the wrongdoings committed by the White House were unprecedented.

Trump Blasts "Fraudulent Media" For Trying To Silence Him, "But I Am President And They Are Not"

It was a Tantrump twofer. Twelve hours after the president unloaded on Twitter, again slamming "Morning Joe" hosts "Crazy Joe" Scarborough and "dumb as a rock" Mika - once again provoking a sharp rebuke from both democrats and republicans - then saying he is "extremely pleased to see that @CNN has finally been exposed as #FakeNews and garbage journalism", Trump lashed out at the “fake media” for the second time on Saturday during an event at the Kennedy Center.
